So this is what I’ve found out. I’m going to do this in reverse order.
Bronze sculpture of Roman Abramovich
This sculpture is made of Bronze and is called “Walking Man I”. It is the most expensive sculpture in art auction.
The expensive sculpture worth an eye watering $104, 3 million. was given by one of the richest men in the world, Roman Abramovich.
He gave it to his girlfriend as a way to show his love. Flowers were clearly not on the agenda for this guy.
The king of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan is well know for his expensive gifts.
After the release of Ra 1, the king offered not one but three of the cars to his good friends.
Now that is my kind of friend.
But in saying that, I was ecstatic when my good friend got me an air fryer for a surprise, so this is off the scale.
Number 8 of top ten most expensive gifts given in the world

Shilpa Shetty’s House
Shilpa Shetty’s House
Raj Kundra, born in London on the 9th September 1975.
He left school at the age of 18, but as it would seem, he has still done rather well for himself.
In 2019 his net worth was reported at $400 million dollars.
But he is clearly a generous guy. Married to Shilpa Shetty, the famous Bollywood actress, he gifted her an apartment in the tallest building in the world in Dubai the Burj Khalifa.
Well jealous is an understatement.
Nita Ambani’s Jet
Mukesh Ambani gifted the A-319 luxury jet to wife Nita for her 44th Birthday. Not even a landmark 40th or anything!
This plane has bar room, music systems, boardroom, bathrooms, a living room and bedrooms.
This jet is valued at Rs400 crore and can hold 180 passengers. I don’t think I even know 180 people, so this would be wasted on me.
Number 6 of top ten most expensive gifts given in the world
Star of the East
Now, this is my kind of present. I love anything shiny.
A man called Edward B. Mclean brought his bride Evalyn the Star of the East for a wedding present.
It is a 94.80 carat pear shaped diamond which is mounted onto a chain below a hexagonal emerald of 34 carats and a pearl of 32 grains.
It belonged to the Sultan Abd al- Hamid and cost $11.9 million. Hopefully he had a bit of spare change to buy her some dinner after that shopping spree.
$84 million Yacht
Anil Ambani splashed out a small $84 million for his wife Tina.
They have called the yacht Tian which is using the first two letters of Tina and Anil.
Quite frankly if someone got me an 84 million dollar yacht they could call it whatever they wanted.
This one is definitely fit for a Queen.
And that’s exactly who this one was gifted to.
Raja Duleep Singh presented the Kohinoor diamond to Queen Elizabeth as a gift of respect.
This particular diamond is the largest one of its kind in the world and has belonged to many Indian rulers.
It is considered to be one of the most expensive diamond presents on earth and remains an important piece to the Royal family.
The Kohinoor diamond is reported to be worth between £10 and £12.7 Billion.
If you are looking for a great 40th birthday present and have $1,050,000 in your back pocket, this could be the gift to buy.
Elizabeth Taylor was given a ring of 69.42 carat for her 40th and that was its value in 1968.
That is one generous husband to one lucky wife.
King Abdullah’s gift to Hillary Clinton
King Abdullah is known to give lavish gifts to the likes of Hillary Clinton and also Barak Obama.
Hillary Clinton received a necklace, bracelet, earrings and a ring which included rare gems, diamonds, gold jewelry and other valuables.
Obama got a leather wallet from the King (i hope he put a fiver in) valued at $1,473.
Kings gift as a way of expressing respect to the recipient. Knowing a King clearly has its advantages.
Number 1 of top ten most expensive gifts given in the world
It’s number one for a reason and its pretty hard to beat.
One of the most famous buildings in the world is the Taj Mahal.
Constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, and also the tomb of the emperor’s wife.
It took 22 years and 20,000 workers to complete and cost 32 million Indian Rupees.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my top ten today. I really enjoyed researching this myself.
